Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 can lotus root in brine, drained
- 3 tablespoons dashi broth or water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Shichimi Togarashi for garnish

Instructions
- Sauté lotus root in cooking and sesame oil until lightly browned.
- Stir in dashi broth or water and cook until most of the liquid evaporates. Add sugar, stirring to coat.
- Mix in soy sauce and cook until absorbed, with lotus root turning golden brown, about 1 minute.
